Sepoy has been interviewed by WGN Radio, BBC World and Radio Imperial and his writings have appeared in LA Times, Guardian and elsewhere.

In the First Annual Brass Crescent Award 2004, Chapati Mystery was voted Most Deserving of Wider Recognition in the First Brass Crescent Awards.

Chapati Mystery was also voted Best Pakistan Blog.

In the Second Annual Brass Crescent Award 2005, CM series That Terror Thing received an honorable mention in the Best Post/Series category.

Lastly, sepoy received insane street cred for killing the roach.
