Sepoy, and CM, are widely acclaimed. In an unmodest fashion, I will tell you what I mean.
In 2002, I was walking over to the 57th Street Bookstore. It was a nice and balmy evening. I was lost, somewhat, in thought so I did not see the gentleman approach. Startled at his voice, I looked up to see a beaming face with deep-set kind eyes. “Dude.” he said, “Love your blog.” At this point I would like to note that the word ‘blog’ was yet to enter my parlance. As prophets are wont to do, he disappeared in a flash of fire, leaving behind the faint odor of burned phosphorus.
Since April 2004, CM has been featured flatteringly in CNN, Salon, Slate, MSNBC and Amazon.
Sepoy has been interviewed by WGN Radio, BBC World and Radio Imperial.
In the First Annual Brass Crescent Award 2004, Chapati Mystery was voted Most Deserving of Wider Recognition in the First Brass Crescent Awards.
Chapati Mystery was also voted Best Pakistan Blog.
In the Second Annual Brass Crescent Award 2005, CM series That Terror Thing received an honorable mention in the Best Post/Series category.
Lastly, sepoy received insane street cred for killing the roach.
