When you posted your thoughts about the concept of South Asia on Cliopatra, I was hard pressed to write about it; not least because that Manan-Sepoy connection was not public information.

I heard you are doing a dissertation on Arab conquest of sindh. You may know about this: Is it true that Abdullah Shah Ghazi, whose mazar is near the edge of the sea in Karachi, was the 1st arab general who attempted to conquer sindh sometime before Mohammad Bin Qasim, but was defeated and buried on the spot where he died? Since he was not successful, we never hear his name in the story.
